The first choice your client will make as they enter the MBS process is to participate in an MBS Enterprise IT Assessment. The scope, cost and nature of the assessment will be fully identified, the assessment process will be fully delineated, and the deliverables will be fully described. Unlike all of the other assessments that your client may have endured, the MBS assessment is highly respectful of technical staff time, heavily automated, and the results don’t just describe IT environment weaknesses—the results include actionable solutions that will significantly strengthen their IT operations as they move into MBS implementation. Clients generally perceive immediate value from conducting the MBS Enterprise IT Assessment independent of their interest in proceeding further with the remainder of the MBS Service Package.

If your client chooses to move on into MBS implementation, then the MBS control strategy that was defined and reviewed as part of the assessment will be designed and implemented. Once again, being highly mindful of the time constraints of the technical staff, MBS service personnel, including personnel from your company will complete the implementation of the MBS control strategies and the associated common control plane generated by the MBS technology. This implementation is performed collaboratively with the client’s technical staff and they are provided brief periods of operator training for the MBS technology console as part of the implementation.

Once baselines have been established throughout the enterprise and any immediate questions or issues resolved, the client’s technical staff takes control of the MBS and your service staff provides Managed Baseline Solution Technical Support to smooth the transition into baseline management and to help the client maintain their customized MBS control strategy as requirements and technologies change in the industry and the enterprise. This long term support relationship becomes more valuable with time as your service staff becomes more familiar with your client’s needs and as you become a conduit for the supply of updated control strategies to them from the deep resource support of BCC.
