StatePointPlus
The StatePointPlus® Enterprise
Integrity Controller provides the first fully integrated capability
to manage the integrity of enterprise computer systems to drive
business risk lower and business margins higher.
The StatePointPlus Software suite is a BCC patented technology for
intelligent Enterprise Baseline Management (EBM) of enterprise computer
systems. Though it is the most powerful and comprehensive EBM tool
on the market today, it is uniquely light on resource consumption.
It has a highly efficient data collection and expert system that
sorts through hundreds of thousands of configuration attributes
on each enterprise computer and empowers administrators to quickly
identify problems while enabling them to respond to and enforce
configuration baseline states.
StatePointPlus technology is architected to remain invisible to
users on the network and on the host systems it is managing even
in the midst of it data gathering and analyzing processes. It is
an agent-based architecture that is robust enough to continue operation
when fully separated from communication with the console or from
any network at all. Because it is agent-based, StatePointPlus affords
the broadest range of control and response to remote systems from
the console. A unique multi-platform product, it enables system
and security administrators to proactively control to a specified
baseline or state, the integrity of every software object in every
server and desktop computer in the enterprise network from a central
location.
StatePointPlus is used in BCC baseline control services to provide
a distributed expert system capability with coupled common control
planes that can execute custom designed, layered control strategies
for enterprise IT operations.
From a management perspective,
the BCC StatePointPlus Software Suite provides an organization with
capabilities such as:
- manageability of configuration deviations
that have mission impact
- accurate knowledge of the current IT environment
- actual progress of on-going IT initiatives
- a reference against which continuous improvement
can be defined
- a benchmark of configuration dynamics over
time across the enterprise to help chart future baseline management
strategies.
From a technical perspective
this technology includes the capability to:
- provide a deep dive view of system configurations
across the enterprise
- establish “baselines” against
which the systems are constantly checked and controlled
- detect critical changes to files, registries,
processes, and services, while at the same time revealing how
many times that critical change happened across the enterprise
- gather real-time diagnostic information from
systems en masse
- recover from unwanted critical changes
and provide administrators with the details on when, how and what
changes were made.
